Control your emotions. If you want to survive, you forget about sympathy. How can I explain? Think of it like a strategy. Focus on your ultimate goal && shut out everything else. Still your mind. Move on instinct.
I wish we got to hear more of this. Like the monologues in XIII, shedding light on Vanille’s emotions and thoughts. It helps give it weight, I think, and set it up more.
We’ve never seen Lightning revel, ever. It’s hard to imagine. I wonder what she’s like, when she’s not being a warrior…

Held in the events of XIII; Lightning is a Guardian corps member, with a promising career. Lightning is secured && content with the status quo. Yet in her birthday a crack forms on the wall she built.
With Serah turning l'cie, Lightning then sacrifices all and boards the purge train. Hoping to get her sister back, all her plans ends in shambles as Serah crystallizes, ending with her being branded as a l'cie together with four more individuals.
Held in the events of XIII-2; Cocoon is saved with Vanille && Fang’s sacrifice. The world hangs in silence as a new threat approaches. With Etro’s blessing, Lightning meets CAIUS BALLAD A man that seeks to end the existence of time, all for the sake of saving a certain priestess.
But with this plan he wishes to kill ETRO. The very deity that holds the balance of life && death. With her hands, LIGHTNING dons the armor of knight && presides over Etro’s world. VALHALLA.
Held in the events of Lightning Returns; Five hundred years into the future, after failing to save ETRO, Lightning awakens in her slumber to become BHUNIVELZE’s savior. Sent forth to LIBERATE the souls into the new world, Lightning has thirteen days to complete her focus.

Lightning, together with her friends && her sister, Serah, inhabits a nearby area by the sea, close to the PILLAR. Naming it after their lost Home, New Bodhum.
A miasma of CHAOS overwhelmed her, Lightning's moment of P E A C E was stolen in a FLASH.
Brought to an alien shore, sky that dimmed due to heavy clouds that hung, massive city all but abandoned && in the very center the THRONE OF ETRO is all but empty.
The Goddess granted Lightning a chance, a chance to redeem herself from all the deaths she brought forth during her run from SANCTUM.
To atone, she must guard Etro, to do that, she must gather all the strengths she can have. Starting by building her army of Eidolons.
A plan, a plan that only the GODDESS knew && no one else. Out of all the chosen L'cie, one qualified to the burden. Lightning was the chosen.
Swept to the bay of Valhalla, Lightning was imbued with the GODDESS' grace. At first it is to apoint her as KNIGHT. She was wrong, slowly with her dying breath, ETRO transferred what's left of her strength to Lightning.
So in Caius last ditch effort, the heart of CHAOS was pierced. Yet it beats anew, Lightning's chest glows CRIMSON.

With only 13 days left, the S A V I O R must buy time for the world, till the MAKER finishes building the new one. To gather Eradia, an energy that can extend the world's LIFE, Lightning must do odd request, from buying tears to talking cats, she must endure all for the sake of SERAH's rebirth.
With BHUNIVELZE dead, the eradia that was within the god sprung forth to the light. AN energy that cannot be destroyed, it clung to the next available host it can find.

MUSIC: A genre Lightning doesn't follow much at all. She doesn't have any favorites or attention for it. Much exposure is only due to lazy afternoons shared with her sister: Serah. Listening to her blasting the house with multiple genre. But Lightning mostly favor piano pieces. That &&London Grammar. Which was a popular Band of her generation.
Movies: Mostly lean towards mystery, true to life scenarios && comedy. She mostly favor those mundane themes, action is somthing she encounter everyday in work.
Photography: A field that Lightning loved once upon a time. Where her parents shielded her from harm, Lightning's dream was to be like her mother. But this interest took a backseat after the events of their death.
Sports: From Bodhumball to swimming, Lightning loves the physical exertion it offers. Weapon: Lightning has affinity with the gunblade. Having extreme combat training just so she can qualify to weild one.

On her 21st birthday,wheels of fate turned for the worst. The mighty soldier of Guardian corps turned fugitive. Becoming a l'cie, she sets off with an unlikely group of allies to save the world.
After reclaiming their home && saving her Serah, Light was once again swept away by destiny. Becoming a knight && then a savior that shall liberate the world. Lightning slowly realized that friendship is not weakness && hope is one of the greatest strength of humanity.
